Putting the Fun In Sun CityNextGen is an active social club with over 500 active members. It is open to all RCSC cardholders. The club is designed to bring people together and foster new friendships and social connections. In addition to monthly meetings, there are a variety of recurring events such as wine tasting, hiking, golf scrambles, card playing, and "Out and About" at local establishments to name a few. NextGen also offers Special events such as holiday parties and multiple day events to area interests. Prospective NextGen members are encouraged to attend a meeting and can participate in 3 events before joining the club. Scroll down to view some of our popular events. Regular Club Meetings
There is a social gathering or an event every 1st and 3rd Monday at 6:00 pm, at Sundial Recreational Centers, in the East and West Auditorium. Please email NewMembers@nextgensc.org for specific meetings and event times to join us as a guest or become a member.
Social gatherings may include a potluck, card games, trivia, music, or guest speakers. All meetings provide the opportunity to socialize and meet other members. Bring your own beverage; cups and ice provided.
Wine Tasting
This is a very popular event. The hosts pick a wine theme; participants bring their favorite wine and a light appetizer to share.
This fun event is a great opportunity to meet other members in a relaxed environment even if you do not drink wine.
Hiking
Hikes are offered throughout the year at various local sites. Day hikes as well as moonlight hikes are conducted. Past hikes have been at White Tanks, Westwing Park Peoria, Cave Creek Regional Park, Buckeye Skyline Regional Park, Lookout Mountain, and Black Canyon Trial.
After the hike, participants may meet for a beverage at the park or lunch at a local restaurant.
Golf Scrambles
If you like to golf and have fun at the same time, scrambles are for you! Team up with other NextGen members for a friendly competition to see which foursome has the lowest score. After golfing, the fun continues at the potluck hosted by a NextGen member. Other golf events may include TopGolf, or Golf tournaments.
Card Playing and Games
Monthly events are held for Pokeno, Mahjong,Texas Hold'em and Ponytail (version of hand and foot) at various RCSC locations. Members can check the event calendar for dates and time.
